Faculty Pedagogy Seminar

Faculty across disciplines meet to explore the history of Emory's founding in 1836 on the Oxford College campus with special emphasis upon how Emory today has inherited much of its legacy from complicated race relations of the past. Previous discussions have centered around archival work in Emory's Manuscript Archives and Rare Book Library, the history of Grady Hospital, sustainable initiatives linked with environmental protection concerns, walking tours of the Quadrangle and information about philanthropists, as well as Emory's own complicated history with the mascot known as Lord Dooley.
